Written over the space of one year, our 2018 debut album Seasons is inspired by Nordic nature and the changing seasons ~ from shimmering lakes to the hidden depths of the forest, and the extremes of winter’s icy grasp to the land of the midnight sun. Four mini-EPs encapsulate each of the seasons and combine to form a cyclical album that explores the midnight horizons of summer, the fade of autumn, nature in hibernation over winter, and the awakening of spring.

And to complete the entire Seasons project, we recorded three songs in a mini EP entitled Acoustic Sessions (which is also available on all platforms).

Evocative and nostalgic, inspired by the fog and fade of Nordic autumns, leaving light and love behind…

Mysteries untold, and words unspoken

Without this fading I cannot grow

In Hibernation

Cold, harsh, frozen isolation, with subtle warming and nostalgic hints…

And freeze, freeze, bitter sky

Deep inside, I’ll remember ~ winters past while I sleep

And as the hibernation of winter starts to thaw, time carries these moments…
just a little more each time

Awakening

Breathing new life into desolation, dreaming of the summer to come and circling back round to where we began ~ one year the wiser…

Out of darkness into new life…

Seasons: Remixed

An EP of six stunningly constructed remixes of songs from Narrow Skies’ debut album Seasons. The release features remixes from artists based in five different countries (Argentina, Portugal, Syria, UK, USA), who each bring their diverse influences to the ‘Nordic-inspired ambient pop’ of Narrow Skies. Seasons: Remixed is a sonic journey through this juxtaposition of styles and cultures ~ a beautifully creative and unique collection of tracks that continues the cyclical, nature-based feel of the original album.

Portuguese producer Delectatio (Tiago Silva) has a eclectic taste in music, but it keeps the ambient and downtempo signs that make his style unique and peaceful, maintaining his statement and the meaning of his artist name “Delight, Pleasure, Enjoyment”

A beautifully atmospheric and ambient remix of Nightfall Embers by Argentinian producer Etherculture.

Powlos is an Ambient and experimental music producer and sound designer based in the UK. He has released music with Archives, Faint and Tectorum Tapes. Powlos released his debut album ‘Pareidolia’ in early 2018 on the Spanish label Faint.

Skyline Drive is a quiet, independent musician hailing from the college town of Conway, Arkansas. Finding influence in projects such as Adam Young’s Port Blue and Color Therapy as well as artists releasing music on labels such as Mango Alley and Elliptical Sun Melodies, Skyline Drive blends the perfect, computerized tones of downtempo music with beautiful soundscapes and the lush ambience of everyday noise.

Float and Follow is a US-based Electronic Bass musician focused on experiencing the Holy Spirit through sound. With ethereal synths, ambient samples and deep bass Float and Follow crafts a soundscape for listeners to be introspective and draw closer to God. It’s a unique style that stands out in the Christian Electronic music scene.

Syrian producer ArchAngel describes his music as “expressing thoughts, imaginations and dreams through atmospheric, deep and progressive melodies.”

Seasons: Acoustic Sessions

Seasons: Acoustic Sessions marks the culmination of Narrow Skies’ debut Seasons project, featuring beautiful viola performances (played by Louisa Tatlow) as well as Anita’s signature soft vocals and dreamy piano. The three songs are evocative, nostalgic, and hint at the Nordic-inspired, nature-infused, reflective ambience of the original tracks.
